Good morning friends,
Today we’re going to continue our conversation as we follow the ripples outward from Confucian thought.
While Confucianism existed primarily as a balancing set of principles to the Tao, it also was in many ways a critique of Buddhism.
So what does Buddhism have to say about morality?
This is a really interesting question, and to be frank we could follow it down a few different paths.
But for today, let’s start by looking at the Eight Fold Path—something we’ve studied previously at TPP—and tomorrow we’ll consider a few other principles of Buddhist moralism that fall beyond this core precept.
To keep it simply this Wednesday morning, I’m going to share the Eight Fold Path and I’d love to start a dialogue around them.
