It occurs to me that I cannot and may not even have the right to create peace for the world. There cannot be world peace until I have peace within me which is non contingent on circumstances. This, I think, is another level of peace that is rarely considered. This is due, I think, to the fact that it is beyond our expectations and imagination thus far. Peace is bigger than what restorative justice can accomplish. They are two distinct and separate issues, though, granted, there are overlaps. It may be a mistake to assume that the benefits of restorative justice for humanity, as many and as varied as they may be, is one and the same as peace. I think that I would rather have peace than some illusive guarantee that life will always be just.
