Putting it on Ice...
...exploring what comes next
First, I hope this finds you well! Preparing a letter for you every Monday has engendered a sort of connection with you all, even though I’ve never met most of you!
Nevertheless, showing up together to dive deeper into ideas of compassion, empathy, and philosophy has been a highlight of my personal routine since starting this newsletter a year ago.
As I approach the one year anniversary of TPP, I find myself reflecting on two ideas:
How showing up for this community—first daily, and more recently weekly—has changed me. I can’t think of another exercise which has so drastically accelerated my learning and expansion as a human being. Thank you for that.
I’m also reflecting to the values we’ve uncovered here of self-compassion, authenticity, awareness, and patience.
On that second point, it’s become apparent to me that I cannot sustain TPP at this time.
I have so much vision and hope for what this community is becoming and could become, but I am also awash in new projects.
Projects for which I am extremely grateful to be contributing toward, and which are direct applications of the values we’ve unpacked here.
It is clear to me that I am entering a new phase one year into TPP. A phase where the challenge is to apply all that we have taught each other. A phase where I simply cannot write, learn, and apply all at the same time.
And I am learning to accept that limitation not has a hindrance or obstacle, but as the way.
I also find myself running out if inspiration and clarity for TPP—an energy source which had seemed infinitely deep before this recent evolution. Furthermore, this lack of focus to write, coincides with the invitation into projects of application mentioned earlier.
All of this to say, I don’t know if I’m done with TPP forever, but I do need to put it on ice for a bit. To take the love and spirit of all that TPP represents, and pour it into communities of visionaries who are actively leveraging these ideas to create positive changes in the world.
I cannot thank you enough, and do plan to check in with occasional updates as the year progresses!
I don’t take this decision lightly, and look forward to sharing with you a definitive next step once it makes itself known.
Thank you for showing me that there are people who love deeply, who are attuned to the deeper realities of life, and who are willing to show up for their neighbor with a kind word, a challenging thought, and actions of love.
Reach out anytime, I’ll see you around soon. Please feel free to browse, share, and use the content found in the archives in any way you see fit!
Until then, farewell my friends,
